I took my first pilates class since getting my brace. I did the class with my brace on and my teacher was “amazed” at how differently my body moved. I had a massage from someone who I go to about every 5 weeks. He said my neck on the right was not as knotted as usual and he swears the curve in my neck is not as pronounced. A friend standing behind me at the dance barre the other night observed the same thing.
I know I won’t get instant results but it is so encouraging to get this positive feedback. I am hoping that because I have kept my muscles so flexible due to dance that the changes will continue and my body will be able to hold these changes. Thank you for making changes in what every doctor told me was a lost cause.

Reprinted from the Michigan Polio Network News report… I flew to New York for an extensive assessment of my scoliosis. I was fitted with their brace and in 12 hours it began to reduce my scoliosis as evidenced by x-rays before and after.I wear the brace about (12) hours a day, and I have been pain free when I do so. The people in the New York Office were extremely warm individuals.

Dear Dr. Deutchman; I am very pleased with the SpineCor brace that I started wearing Nov 2004. I have hardly any back pain and as you know, there has been some improvement in the curve. It took a while but I got used to it and I appreciate the support it gives my back. A couple of people have told me that I look straighter now. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to use the SpineCor brace. The Orthopedic doctors said there was no therapy for my case of scoliosis an I could only hope that it would not get much worse. In which case, the only possible treatment would be surgery. Thanks for being there with an alternative.
